Connie's Book Review: The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

We here at the library have started a new book club designed with the young reader in mind. This club is for patrons 7 to 12 years of age, and an older teammate. This can be a parent, grandparent, caregiver, etc. The Club is called ‘Joined Forces’ and meets on the last Thursday of the month at 5:00PM in the Juvenile Fiction section of the library.

Iowa State honors fall graduates

More than 1,700 graduates received degrees from Iowa State University this fall. Training Opportunity to Become a Volunteer Bald Eagle Nest Monitor

The Iowa DNR will be holding two training opportunities for people interested in becoming  volunteer bald eagle nest monitors. One workshop will be held via Zoom on Saturday February 10th from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm and the other will be held in person at the Central Park Nature Center in Jones County on Saturday, March 23rd from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

Secretary Pate opens the nomination process for the 2024 John Lewis Youth Leader
